hello, ive recently tried to use a Sony Handycam HDD camcorder with Windows Vista, now first of all, i tried to install the driver from the disk it came with and it couldnt install because it wasnt a Vista driver.
Now after that, i went into the Vista program compatability and after choosing to run it in compatability for WinXP SP2, it installed with all of the software. Now i rebooted and tried to access the movies from the camcorder, and Vista asked me for a driver for the device. Now i need a Vista driver for the product, but the manufacterer's site doesnt have a vista driver so im wondering if anyone can shed some light on how to get this device working.
The model number is DCR-SR40 if that helps at all.
