Game Problem! Help
I recently installed GTA San Andreas and after i did, whenever i try to run it, it says "Cannon Find 800x600x32 video mode."
Does that mean the game is missing something or my computer is missing something? Im pretty sure i have all the requirments too. Last edited by Detrimental; June 29th, 2007 at 10:24 PM. |

It seems to be a video display issue. As it cannot display the video images in 800x600 resolution at 32 bit...
Try reinstalling it, or use repair from the installation file (if available). Could you give some of you system specs? And are you using the illegal or legal version of GTA SA? |

I checked the requirments for GTA SA and the only thing im missing is an extra 32 mb of RAM and a pixel shader. Can this 32 mb that i dont have be a problem?

No, the pixel shader is the problem I think. Your videocard does not meet the minimum requirements for this game. What videocard do you have?

64 MB DirectX 8.1 compatible video card. Ya, i probably need a higher video card.

Quote:
* 1GHz Intel Pentium III or AMD Athlon Processor * 256MB of RAM * 8x DVD-ROM Drive * 3.6 GB of free space for a minimal install * 64MB Video Card with DirectX 9 compatible drivers * DirectX 9 compatible Stereo Sound Card * Keyboard & Mouse I think you got a rather old videocard wich has the 64MB needed memory availably, but doesn't have the pixel shader version GTA SA uses. For instance, my brother couldn't get some very new game loaded with his really good videocard, while I, with my crappy videocard, can because I have the required pixel shader on my videocard
