Except for Kanye West and P Diddy. Can't stand that stuff I cant either. tuneless rubbish LOLOL I know Im in uk and not relevant to your question but it was really good I dont particularly like Natasha Bedingfield but she was brill!!! and Donny Osmond was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fantastic in the Joseph bit (Jason Donavan seemed to be struggling vocally eeeep.) Had to flip over for the last Talk to me though, but caught the end. Wills and Harry seemed to have a great time. What a cracking pair of boys they are love 'em. In the news after, they doubled it to a billion viewers worldwide.........

I watched it all too, my favourite was seeing Roger Hodgson. I don't recall who that comedian was close to the end, but he was terrible! It was great to see the two Prince's thoroughly enjoying themselves.

It'd be interesting to know what the Queen and Prince Charlie thought of it all.

Not everyone (http://www.postchronicle.com/news/original/article_21289992.shtml) enjoyed the concert.

This aside though Brit's, be honest, Diana's boys are an embarassment to the Monarchy arent they?

Yeah, thats my cousin Elt for you, always been a Diva :p

Diana's boys aren't an embarrassment to the Brits - well behaved for a couple of rich kids who could be very spoilt. Handle themselves relatively well (considering I strongly suspect there may be just the teeniest fork in their family tree).

Just cos they've got a plumb in their mouths, can't dance and occasionaly get into a spot of bother, they aren't at all bad. At least they've got enough conkers about them to serve in the army - allegedly, the ginger lad is spitting nails over being stopped from doing what Brits do best (sailing off around the globe to impose fish and chips, binge drinking and The Sun on Johnny Foreigner). Bit better than the last generation in Monaco, now they were a real bunch!

What specifically has got your feathers ruffled there annie?

And here (http://www.bbcamerica.com/content/23/anglophenia.jsp?bc_id=141). If you want to see a video of Harry's humiliation, I will post it. And I have others that I can post for "Will's" too. :D

Not a bad concert I suppose. I thought their mum was ok but I can't see the relevence of the Royal Family.

LOLOLOLOLOL so kiwi teenagers don't ever get out of their tree or act like a bunch of plums do they?

I did allude to those activities in my earlier post. Not bad, when you compare it to the Monagesque or US royalty (Hilton, Bush twins etc). They are kids growing up without their mum, cut 'em some slack. :p

The u.k. is split 3 ways, those that hate the monarchy, those that love the monarchy and the sensible folk.

Teenagers?

Hmm, Snurfen, think again and then check out their DOB.

Not bad, when you compare it to the Monagesque or US royalty (Hilton, Bush twins etc).

Sure, but is Paris Hilton going to be head of state when Bush is deposed. No siree! :D

Just watched it in the UK. Brilliant concert to mark the 10th anniversary of her death. Half a billion worldwide TV audience apparently. Anyone outside the UK here watch it? It was a fitting celebration of her life. I watched most of it. Great live music but not enough of some, too much of others. ;)

I still don't get the comedian guy. Was he just the loudest patron picked up at some local bar to fill time? :D

As for the rappers, it could have been worse. At least they had good string orchestras behind them and some excellent sentiments to express regarding the occasion. (Don't like rap myself.)

Loved the Joss Stone segments including the one with Tom Jones. I thought Tom would be cheesy but he actually sounded pretty good with Joe Perry and Joss Stone to help.

There were some others that were pretty good. Overall, an excellent memorial and fundraiser. Her boys did good.

Check their DOB - lol! I'm sorry, I was under the misapprehension that these photies (touched up ones at that) were taken when the young fellas were in their teens.

From your tone, I take it you aren't keen on the Royals? They're ok in my book, bring a lot of tourism to the country and are a mildly amusing diversion from our daily drudge. Oddly enough, a lot of folk I know and have met from republics tell us how lucky we are to have them.

I didn't really watch the show (cos I'm trying to keep on the topic for once in my life) but dipped in and out. I'm not a massive fan of schmaltzy shows like this, and not keen on the way the links are done - hence wasnt glued to it. Lots of freinds and colleagues thoroughly enjoyed it. If only it hadn't been fronted by those two disgustingly bacchalian TWENTY SOMETHINGS from that bunch of overpriviledged bunch of empire building freeloaders, the Mountbatten boys (Windsors, Wales' - whatever) :rotflmao:

I'm more sad that there was no big deal made over the sad death of a true hero, Mother Theresa of Calcutta. Now she was worth making a song and dance about - truly humbling.

Diana's boys are an embarassment to the Monarchy arent they?

No more than Prince Charles and Diana herself, let's face it, they've all done things "out of line", and they aren't the only ones throughout the history of the UK monarchy. To be honest, I thought it great to see them enjoying themselves at the concert, rather than just sitting there and clapping after each song.

Diana wasn't royalty in the true sense, she married into it. Hence why her personality/ideas/charisma was loved by millions.. and changed the face of royalty forever. (and not before time)
I think there is a lot of her in the two Prince's.
I also believe that Diana would not have acted as she did on a personal level, had Charlie not been unfaithful more or less from the day they married.
The royals needed updating and Diana was the woman that did it (much to their disgust and annoyance)

Well reminded there, Privvy Councilor of the Pack (with Brats). I forgot she was a breath of fresh air when she joined "the Firm". From peeps I know who worked in/around the royal residences, it was more the flunkies than the royals that had it in for old Di.

Thought Kanye West looked silly in those glasses.
