laptops

Hi,
I am wondering if laptops are really that much dependable.
I have heard stories of laptops breaking down soon after being bought.
From personal experiences of people who have laptops, do you recommend them?
Also what are good / bad makers.
Are Toshiba good laptop makers?
Thanks.

I had a dell laptop for awhile and have to say I had no problems with it. I sold it to a friend and he hasn't had any problems with it yet either.

see this for laptop reviews

IMO, theres really no good or bad laptop makers. Its all just opinions people either like a brand or hate a brand.

I have used several from dell to hp to gateway and others. Never had a problem with any of them other that what I caused.

I am currently using hp. I do recommend hps - I feel you get more for your money with them. As far as toshibas, if it meet your needs, get it.
