Hi, I am having a problem with one of my PCs. This PC (Windows XP SP2 with ASUS WL-138gE PCI wifi adaptor) can't connect to many websites; in firefox or IE. It gives me the 'Connection Timed Out' page. (I have tried many browsers to verify that it is indeed something to do with the connection.
The wireless router which this PC is connected to (ASUS Wl-520G) is also connected to my other PC, running Vista Home Premium, and there are no problems there. Same wireless network, same driver, same PCI card, everything. Please help me and ask for any details that I have not included.
I have a Broadband ADSL connection, and I have confirmed with my ISP that there are no problems on their side.
Please note, on the XP PC, the network signal strength is Excellent, I can view the Vista PC in our LAN, and I can ping some websites. I have tried repairing the connection, resetting the router again, loading the factory defaults, everything. The problem only began when I creating a new network.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
