The moniter on my other computer is not working. When the computer starts up it comes on and runs until the windows XP loading screen comes up, just before that it stops working, but the moniter is still on. How can I fix that? or what is happening?

Don't think its your monitor, unplug all unnecessary hardware(printer/scanner/web cam etc) from the PC and try rebooting. If that doesn't work try rebooting again tap the F8 key as its booting and it should bring up a screen which will allow you to boot in to last known good configuration mode.
