Remote desktop requires administrative rights on a computer and most likely administrative rights to the governing router. Given your other questions I don't think you'll be able to get it to work unless it has been previously configured and you need to set it up again.
To be a little more specific, there are 2 methods generally available.
RDP (remote desktop protocol) which requires windows terminal services and VNC.
