Guild Wars crashes on installation (Moved by AM)

I just bought guild wars: factions a few days ago and seem to be unable to complete the installation. I autorun it, the thing apparently downloads some files form arena.net, then i get an error message that says: " The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005) Click ok to terminate the application."
I've tried running the installer in compatibility mode for XP as well as most of the other OS's under that tab.
Heres my specs:
32 bit vista home premium
AMD 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4600+ 2.4 GHZ
2 GB system ram
NVIDIA Geforce 6150 LE graphics card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing i can think of is running XP on a virtual PC using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007. Would that actually work?

Let's try a couple of things to get that working for you again:

1. Startup your system in SAFE MODE by pressing F8 repeatedly
while your system is booting up after you've shut down your system

2. Log in with an account you've created as a "Computer Administrator"
account that you'll use to play the game, but don't use a Limited account.

Thanks for the suggestions but I have already tried both of them.. they didnt work.
After an exhaustive amount forum browsing/talking to people im pretty sure that my problem is in my video card. if so i plan on upgrading it soon anyways and my problem should be fixed.
if not i will doubtlessly be posting again

Actually, I just remembered that the NVIDIA Geforce 6150 LE graphics card is intergrated. Which means, that may be why it's not able to get off the ground.

Either way, if you get a new one and experience the same problem we'll have to try something different Goodluck!
