Supreme commander Instalation help!

Hi, i bought a downloadable version of supreme comander for pc, and when im trying to install it, an error occurs. as im sure you know, the first step when going through an installer, is picking the language, up to this point, everythings ok. thne after i click "english" then continu, the error pops up saying the following:

"An error (-5006 : 0x8000ffff) has occurred while running the setup.

Please make sure you have finished any previous setups and closed other applications. If the error still occures. please contact your vender: Gas powerd gams
(http://gaspowered.com)"

and after i click ok, or cancle the instilation closes and this will happen when i try to do it again, even after i have re-started my cmp and all the usaual trouble shooting steps. I have contacted THQ (the developer) for support, but they are taking a long time to get back to me, so if any of you know how to fix this i would like that alot lol, thanks in advance.

unknow motherboard, but is intel

thats what it says when i click "details" of the error

It may be that when you downloaded the game that it didn't download correctly. Try downloading it again.

ive acctuly done that already, sorry for not saying that, any other ideas?

Click on the link below. Use the drop down box to click on "Supreme Commander-PC" and then click on "Can I run It" Then it will open a page but you will have to install their Java platform (you will see a info bar show up to install plugin for it) Install it then you will have to go back to the start page again and click on supreme commander-pc and click the button again to run it. But it may be something in your system that isn't letting it install and run. Just run this and see what it tells you.

Surpreme Commander has been known to be a very high grade game not made for computers with low end graphics and RAM.
