taking three pictures and making one

does anyone know of a program that lets you take three different pic's and putting them together to make just one picture?

IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com/) can do that. It doesn't have many options but it works.

If you have a set of pics that are like a panorama then autostitch might work for you.
