Installation issues with Office 2003

I have an HP laptop with Vista Business. I installed Office 2003 Professional on the system and the installer ran fine but when I go to start Power Point it tells me that my operating system is not presently configured to run this application.

Also, when I look at the Office selection under the Start menu it doesn't even list all of the applications that should have been loaded.

Ideas?

Well this seems to have been skipped and I hate a zero reply post. So all I can suggest at the moment is either to use the Repair option or to uninstall and reinstall the application.

If you uninstall then choose the 'complete' option when installing as there have been problems when users choose the default 'typical' installation.
