Hello there,
I just uninstalled Norton anti virus cause it was giving me nothing but problem's and i got McaFee. Im not sure if that was a good idea either. When i start it up it wont let me update it cause i have to resister my product, okay no problem i can do that right? well when i click to resister now a blank white box comes up and it never loads. I can let it sit there for days and it wouldn't load if i really wanted to. Any have any suggestion's on why i cant bring up the resister screen for McaFee?
Thanks a lot

I encountered the same problem on a customer's computer. If I'm remembering correctly, it required disabling all popup blockers before the page stopped coming up blank.

I have a better solution than Norton or McAfee, I always strongly recommand PC-cillin, a trial is available on their software @ www.trendmicro.com (http://www.trendmicro.com)
MSN also uses built-in PC-cillin on their hotmail system.
The other option that I haven't tryed and recommanded by Leo Laporte on TechTV is www.Eeye.com (http://www.Eeye.com) and has a year trial I believe, unless its free for life. The software is called Blink.

As for pop-up blocker, I'm not sure, I've been trying to find a better one for pop unders and ups. However theres http://toolbar.google.com (http://toolbar.google.com) or http://advancedtoolbar.com (http://advancedtoolbar.com) , Advanced Toolbar has tons of features, including pop-up blocking.

Internet Explorer 7 has a built-in popup blocker (which was what I was overlooking when I encountered the problem).
If you have IE7, look in Tools>Popup blocker and if it says "Turn off popup blocker," click that. If it says "Turn on popup blocker," it's already turned off.

Oh yeah, thats another pop-up blocker by default. But, I find it can be more annoying, than Google Toolbar.
One thing I forgot to say, with Google Toolbar, on your keyboard, Hold CTRL also known as "control" to allow pop-ups.

CTRL works for the IE7 pop up blocker as well.
