I've been trying out the PC Linux OS live cd and I found the right driver (.inf) for the Netgear wireless internet card and loaded it properly and I could use the internet fine. This last Wednesday I tried it again and it gives me the "Unable to find the ndiswrapper interface"

I've tried burning another cd of it, no help. Tried Mandriva, same problem. The .inf file isn't bad, I tried it from 2 floppies, and located it on the hard drive and loaded it from there to.

The Windows XP I have installed on the PC still uses it fine.

No hardware change.

The only thing I can think of is I think clicking the add a new network (not a quote) button in the control center used to take two tries before.

You might have to reload the ndiswrapper module. Open a terminal, and as root (su) run "modprobe ndiswrapper".

I tried it in Knoppix 5.1.1 and it said the ndiswrapper module loaded but no new device and ndiswrapper might not be working with the driver.

Can you list the steps you took to setup ndiswrapper?

As per your last post, I booted the PC Linux OS cd and was going through the steps and writing them down for you but it actually worked this time. I'm typing this on it now.

And like I said in the first post, I had to click "Start up a new network interface" multiple times. I wonder how long it'll last.

Thanks.

Glad to hear its working! Maybe a module had failed to load before?
