A friend of mine has a problem with Word 2003. She had a corrupt file which she deleted. Now Word closes down unexpectedly, not always but often when she is working on a document. Any thoughts anyone?

Has she tried using the cd to run a repair (Microsoft Office or Word) ?

No.. odds are it is a corrupted program file.
She could try dumping the normal.dot file and restarting to see if that helps.
