Excel print properties

I got a problem. Say i have 3 pages worth of characters etc in an excel document. Now i clear the print area so it prints everything.
Now heres the main problem:
I then delete a few lines and my excel document now takes 2 pages. I print and the 3rd page is always printed even though theres nothing on it.
What can i do so it wont be automatically?

This can occur if you have certain formatting outside the data range, eg borders on a cell that would be on the 3rd page. But other than that this doesn't happen for me (Excel 2003).
