Playing DVDs

I just got Ubuntu 7.04 with an AMD Athlon64 3200+ processor (if that helps) and it comes with Totem movie player. I want to relax with a nice DVD but when I click on the DVD it gives me.

Totem cannot play this type of media (DVD) because you do not have the appropriate plugins to handle it.
Does anyone know of plug ins that are simple to install and, uh.. work? also I need concise, straight forward instructions. I have tried 3 before with very simple instructions but didn't work and now I'm cluttering up my hard drive.
