Hi,
Has this just happened out of the blue ? What soundcard do you have ? Some basic PC specs would help us to diagnose the problem. If you're unsure of your PCs specs download and run AIDA32 from here : http://www.cybertechhelp.com/html/do...load.php/id/30 This will give you a comprehensive breakdown of your PCs insides

Thanks for the quick reply. Sorry I could not post sooner. It says on my original purchase list that I have a 16-bit Sound Card. (mum-snd16). Does this help. I do not know when I lost the sound, as I don't use it that much. It was only when I tried to listen to something that I found out. I recently installed Microsoft Works Suite 2002 but nothing else.
Thanks, Karen |

Right click on my computer, left click on properties, left click on device manager, scrool down the info until you get to the Plus sign by Sound, video and game controllers. Do you see any yellow excalmations points anywhere . Post info back.

mmmmm I forgot the obivious, make sure all your speaker wires are plugged into the right slots. If you have moved your computer around lately , you may have unplugged by mistake. Also make sure the volume switch is turned up. In any casse let us know.
