When I open windows explorer the menu on the left is now most of the screen. The right side is now a grey window.I can move the border over an pull down the grey window. This gets everything back the way it was.But when I close an reopen it's messed up again. Thanks

Hi Billzzt, welcome to Cyber Tech Help.

Open a Windows Explorer and get it set up the way you want it
then go to the menu under
View
Folder Options...
View(tab)
and click on the
Like Current Folder(button)

Close all Window Explorer(s) you have open and then from then on
they will all open with the setting you saved.

Download and install IE 5.5 sp2. That should fix it for you.

You can go here (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/recommended/ie55sp2/download.asp) to get it.

The only reason that I knew was because it happened to me once and I played around with it for a week before I finally figured it out.
