is there any possible way to load a new OS without the floppy drive?
xp or 98 preferably, thanks.

The install CD for XP is bootable. As far as I know, the only install CDs for 98 that are bootable are the OEM (will say "For distribution only with a new PC" on it) or Recovery/Restore CDs.
