I have tried the installation 4 times and they all go in successful but never boots up.
I use LILO as the boot loader
I am in school for this and when I install it there it goes in just fine, but when I try it at home it does not go through
The first time I manually partitioned it withthe Disk Druid
And once I let it do it for me automatically and both times it installed fine
Is ther any reason why? Is ther something that I am doing wrong??
Yeah you can tell im new hear I could have edit my post instead of putting a new one ahhh lol

Thanks

Which distro are you attempting to install? All of the newer distros have improved installers and most use GRUB as the boot loader.

Red Hat 9 is old, Red Hat 7 is ancient! How old is the computer in question? If it was built after 1998, I would say scrap RH7 and download Ubuntu.Ubuntu is also free, you do not have to pay for it, and if your internet connection is too slow you can order a free install disk and have it shipped to you for free!

Thanks!

Wow, that was easy! I downloaded it and installed it, go figure! I was wondering, if there was a way to have a gui for the LAMP server..any ideas? See what I need to have in the end is an intranet web server, so I can "remotely" test scripts within the office, that I develop instead of doing it on my local computer so I can test on a linux box, and a mac. Any help would be appreciated.
