Hi R4NG3R
Give this a try:
Go to Start
Settings
Control panel
Add/Remove programs
Highlight Microsoft IE
Add/remove
Select repair IE

That should do it, post back and let us know how it turns out. :)

Just to make sure, try going to tools/internet options/advanced tab/scroll down to the multimedia area and make sure that the show pictures box is checked.
Also go to Tools - Internet Options - on the GENERAL tab, select Settings under Temporary Internet Files... change the option under "Check for newer versions of stored pages" to Automatic or Every Visit To The Page.
Try that and see, post back. :)

Ok, there is a file, Urlmon.dll, that exists in some Registry keys, that when its default value setting points to an invalid location, the resulting action may be the problem you are experiencing.
Try the following and see if it solves the problem:
-Quit all programs that are running.
-Click Start > Run.
-In Run, type: regsvr32 urlmon.dll and click OK.
When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded." message, click OK.
If this does not take care of the problem, you may need to reinstall Internet Explorer.

It can be helpful to delete your cache folders in MS-DOS, thus forcing Windows to create new ones, containing brand new index.dat files, on reboot.
Go to Start > Shutdown > Start the computer in MS-DOS mode.
Type the following lines, pressing ENTER after each one:
cd\
cd windows
smartdrv
deltree tempor~1
deltree history
deltree cookies
NOTE: Press Y if you are prompted to confirm any deletion
Type win (or 'exit'), or hit ctrl-alt-delete followed by clicking enter in order to return to Windows
NOTE: This is assuming the path to these folders is the default one
Is they're located elsewhere/named differently, adapt the path accordingly.
Do keep us informed on your progress!

OK, here's my entire spiel on this subject:
1) On the View menu in IE, point to Encoding , and then click Western European (Windows).
2) Verify that Show Pictures has not been disabled:
- On the Tools menu, click Internet Options .
- Click the Advanced tab, and then verify that the Show Pictures check box is selected under Multimedia .
- Click OK .
3) Restore Default Associations for Graphics File Types :
Go to Folder Options/File Types, and make sure that the following file types are associated by default with Microsoft Internet Explorer (Iexplore.exe):
ART image (.art)
GIF image (.gfa, .gif)
JPEG image (.jfif, .jpe, .jpeg, .jpg)
It might also be a good idea to install the latest version of Microsoft Virtual Machine (http://ftp.uni-stuttgart.de/pub/systems/win95/fixes/VM/msjavx86.exe)
And here are two MS articles:
Web Page Displays an Image As a Red X or Not at All (Q283807) (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=283807)
You Cannot View Some Images on Web Pages After You Upgrade to Internet Explorer 6.0 (Q309287) (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=309287)

That can't be done.
You can however reinstall IE, or upgrade to IE 6.0 SP1, if you haven't already, but I'm not sure whether that will make a difference.
Can't harm to give it a try though.

OK, try reinstalling it then.
First you need to do this, or Windows won't let you:
Go to Start > Run > Regedit.
Drill down to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383}
Rightclick the IsInstalled value in the right pane, click 'Modify', change its value from from 1 to 0, and then click OK .
Quit Registry Editor.
Now you'll be able to download aqnd reinstall Internet Explorer.
Good luck,

Well, that was certainly not our intention, I can assure you...
by the way...can i change the 0 to a 1 now>?
It doesn't matter. In any case, as you've reinstalled, it will already have been reset to 1 in any case.
There's not that much more we can do, without having true access to the computer in question.
It would maybe help to have a closer look at your configuration.
That could conceivably offer some more insights:
Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads.php#det, and download 'Hijack This!'.
Unzip it, launch Hijack This, then press "Config" > "Miscellaneous Tools", and press "Generate Startuplist Log"
This will generate a text file that will list all running processes, all applications that are loaded automatically when you start Windows, and more.
Go to Edit > select all, copy it and post its contents here.
