If you have Easy CD Creator 4.x installed, you probably need to d/load and run the DirectCD update(s). Those updates are available here (http://www.roxio.com/en/support/ecdc/software_updatesv4.jhtml) , just scroll down to DIRECT CD UPDATES and d/load the appropriate update(s) according to the version of DirectCD that you have installed. If you are going to be installing the update for DirectCD for Windows 2.5 to 3.01, I believe that you have to first remove/uninstall DirectCD (don't uninstall Easy CD Creator, though), and then run the update. During the installation of the update, you will be prompted to insert the Easy CD Creator install CD, so have it ready.

Hi Nicksta - I have merged both your threads as they relate to the same issue. It's very hard for members to help you, if they dont know all the facts.

That fatal exception error might be due to improperly seated or faulty RAM. Check to ensure that your RAM is properly seated and it probably wouldn't hurt to ensure that all drive cables are secure, too.
A fairly popular memory diagnostic tool is available for d/load from here (http://memtest86.com/) if you want to give it a try.
