Hi
Is there anyway to change my existing dual-boot configuration, so that Windows Vista is inside a virtual machine in Ubuntu? I already have Vmware server set up, I just need a way of making an image and putting it in a virtual machine.
Any help would be appreciated.

Just my two cents worth, I would avoid running Vista as a virtual machine like the plague. Been there done that, Vista didn't run very nicely at all.

I agree with Speedy, I've seen several videos of Windows XP running in Ubuntu Linux using VMware and it ran so slow it was almost unusable. I was thinking of doing the same thing until I researched it a bit.

I actually did do a seperate installation of Vista inside the VM, and it works fine. But thats probably since I allocated it 1GB of my 4GB of ram and both cores... So I have vista already installed, I just need it with all my programs and stuff.. And don't think about telling me to just transfer the files.
BTW I think that Vista actually ran faster inside a VM than on my dual boot? lol
Thanks
