IP trouble and Internet Connection trouble

I have an emachines computer and I am trying to connect to the internet but it does not work. Other computers are on this same network but this one isn't working. It tells me I need to renew the IP address but I cannot renew it without going online. Someone please help me asap. Thanks.

Also does any one know how to fix a monitor that wont turn on? The PC works but the monitor says check the cables of the monitor and the pc. I checked the cables but it still doesn't turn on. I hooked the pc up to another monitor and it works. What should I do? PLEASE help. Thank you!!
