You should start investigating what hardware it is that is being "found". If your wireless device is disconnection/reconnecting that could very easily be your problem. If it is indeed your wireless device, double check all of your connections. If it is usb, make sure the device is not hanging from the port.

i believe it is the USB, because everyonce in a while i will get it where it says this device is not recognized, and it wont try to connect or sho w up in the task bar, but the lights on the adapter will still be on. i have had it a few times where in device manager it changes to "adapter #2" and says no dirver installed, even though it is installed and normally says device is working properly. When i do get it connected it will usually stay connected to the router for hours at time. Its just when i start up the computer i am having the problem.

Your system drivers may be a bit flakey then. I've seen similar issues with belkin USB devices. The best you can do is make sure you have all of the updated firmwares for the wireless adapter and your motherboard and update your system drivers.

how do i do that? im not great with this kind of stuff , sorry. Also i can get connected just not for long, sometimes it will say usb devic e not recognized, but i know it works as i have been connected for hours at a time. sometimes it says no network is in range, this is confusing me and pissing me off lol. thank u for the help so far

also i just want to add that, when i do get connected it will give me an ip address that it gives when i can stay connected for long periods. I have found that if i reinstall the drivers usually it will keep me connected until i turn off the computer. The signal i get for the wireless is always above 70% the speed will slow down to 12 mbps but will increase usually.

I do believe it is an issue with my usb as when i plug my mp3 player in, it will sometimes say that device is not recognized as well after a while. When i check in device manager it tells me my usb is working properly for all of them, i know its not one port because i hav e plugged the adapter into 6 different ports now with the same results. Im just finding it weird that some times i can connect four hours at a time, and other days i cant get longer then a 2 minute connection
