Hi-
I'm experiencing a weird problem. Whenever I try to access a link in any email I receive, a popup window comes up, yet I am unable to access the link itself. The popup is clear, meaning I can still see the original email, and if I should drag it, a multitude of popup boxes appear.

What the heck is the problem? and how do I fix it? I have tried using the IE repair function in system tools, and also have tried reinstalling IE 6 with no results. Any ideas?

I would appreciate the help!

PS Actually, it doesn't even have to be an email when this problem occurs. It also happens with links in newsletters, and even for links on this site.

Hi vickianng -welcome to CTH. :)

Download mcrepair.exe from here (http://download.microsoft.com/download/msninvestor/Patch/1.0/WIN98/EN-US/mcrepair.EXE). Close IE, run mcrepair.exe and reboot afterwards.

(When you run this executable, it asks you whether you wish to overwrite newer files, make sure to click YES for each file.)

Let us know if this helped.

Hi again vickianng - try rightclicking on the link that I posted and select "Copy Shortcut". Then go to your Address Bar and paste the shortcut and hit "enter".
