ok well i know people who swear on opera, is there really an advantage to it? i read that its less succesptable to virus' but that was likely complete crap. :hmm: so yeah, is there anything to this claim?

im not too familiar with opera but im using firefox, and thats pretty decent. People have told me firefox is faster and has great add-ons.
Ive also heard that some programs don't like opera and have confliction problems.

Opera doesn't show many web pages as accurately as Firefox or IE7.
It often shows a horizontal line as gray with black borders even though it shows as a colored line with no border in Firefox and IE unless the web page designer has taken extra steps to code it correctly (which many don't).
It doesn't show some hacks correctly that were designed for IE6, like a hack for a fixed position header.
It doesn't show correctly one method of showing photos which involves a scrolling div with the icons as the larger popups move with the scroll when they are static in other browsers. See item 9 here in Opera and then Firefox:-

So generally I think it is less reliable in showing webpages properly.
