First I think that we need to address terminology so that we don't mix up devices. The space on your hard drive is referred to as Storage Space and not Memory. Memory refers to the volatile (mostly) small circuit boards called RAM, or Memory Sticks, etc.
Yes you can upgrade your memory. Some Motherboards have the ability to use Either Simms (Single Inline Memory Modules) or Dimms (Dual Inline Memory Modules) and as long as you have enough space (unused connectors), you don't need to remove what you have installed, although you probably have the old PC66 memory installed, so it may be advisable to just get one stick of about 128 megs of the newer type (PC100) and remove the old stuff. Just make sure that you get memory that's compatible with your machine - your motherboard manual will tell you what it can use. Do not mix Simms & Dimms - You can cause damage to your Memory and/or Motherboard. |

Thank you so much... I changed my harddrive to a 10GB that my brother had lying around... now I have more than enough space (at least for now :-) )
