Why am I losing internet connection??
Hi again to all of you here...
![]() Quick question. Ever since i got my new computer last week with windows vista home basic, a few times it seemed i lost internet connection. That NEVER happened before with my other comp that had XP. I have verizon DSL and there doesnt seem to be any issues with that, the modem is working normally too. I recall the other day i wanted to go to BORDERS.COM and i typed it into the address bar, and as soon as i hit enter, i got the box that came up saying i lost internet connection and if i wanted to reconnect or work offline... i have DSL and i also have a dial up thru where i work, I dont use that though anymore, but its still there, if i chose to. anyways, just yesterday i went to borders.com again and the same thing happened, it goes offline. Ive never had that happen before at all on other computer with XP, i dont know if this is a vista problem or something that needs to be reconfigured or deleted with the other dial up server i have. it may not have anything to do with the dial up either, but thats what comes up, the box, saying how do i want to reconnect. Then when i click it takes me to the dial up box. I close it out and go to my email and reconnect thru that... Anyone here have any ideas as to why it would go offline? and if it has to do with borders website, cause thats when it seemed to go off when i went there. thanks nancy |

Do you get any internet connection at all? ie....other websites.
Are all your ISP settings ok on the new computer? If you not sure your ISP will help you check. Cheers Col
