Hey.
My laptop (I'm typing on a friend's) was connected to the internet via wireless internet and connected to the house via cord. I took the cord out by accident out of the wall, but, when I put it back in, I was not receiving any internet through it. I can tell wether I have internet or not by mini flashing lights in it, and it aint flashing. Also, the laptop says its not finding any internet 'cept on wireless. How do I reconnect the internet - with the wireless, its all very slow on my games and internet exporer.
Thanks!

First, welcome to the CTH Forum!
Second, your post is utterly confusing? :dizzy: Please provide some more specific detailed comments on your exact problem so that the 'experts' here can make suggestions that might be useful.
From the above, I'm not sure if your laptop was connected to the internet via wireless + an ethernet cable? What does 'to the house via a cord' mean? What flashing lights are you talking about?
My assumptions are that you have a cable modem in the house attached to a computer & that you were communicating via 'wireless' to your laptop? Correct? Is there an intervening router in the mix? More info will help - thanks.

Yea, I wasn't thinking - most of the specific words were in the back of my head. My laptop was connected to the internet with a wireless adapter and an ethernet cord, plugged into a port in the house. But the ethernet provided most of the high speed internet, so without it, the laptop is SLOW when I'm online. The ends of the ethernet cord has miniature LEDs that flash when the internet works from the ethernet cord. So, what happened is that my chair pulled out the ethernet cord out of the socket in the wall, and when I put it back in, the internet from the ethernet cord doesnt work anymore.
As for your assumptions, to be honest, I have no idea

Anyone gonna help please? Sorry to be impatient, but I gotta use the high-end internet for some work with my colleagues and boss.
