Nero & Dvd

Hey guys, i have Nero 7 , and wanted to burn some home movies and movies to disc, i tried and it worked but the discs are really jumpy and stuff, bad quality. anyone know a solution, nero settings or a cheap dvd player that will play burnt dvd's no problem?

What settings did you use to burn these movies? Did you chose DVD movie or data? Have you tried reading any documentation such as the help files that comes with Nero?

i have looked but no help, i use 'make dvd' not data, could it be my dvd player?
