Installation of Cable internet, Hassle or no?
I've been flirting with different ways of getting broadband internet. DSL is not available at my house and my father is extremely resistant to installation of cable because he "doesn't want to tear up his yard". I've just been wondering if this is justified. We DO have underground wiring, so I have several questions.
1: Does the cable from the pole have to be laid in the same pipe or place as the main power and phone lines? 2: What kind of cable comes from the pole? Simple coax with BNC connectors? 3: Could the cable be run from the pole to the attic in the air? Perhaps I should contact Comcast with these questions, but I really hate dealing with customer support of big companies. Ick! Thanks in advance! -Thrash

Howdy:
You should really contact your cable provider as they may have restrictions as per installation routes. Also, they are the ones that would have to run the line to the house. Murray
