Some programs won't connect, Werfault playing up
Straight to the point- Firefox shows a plain white screen with a tab named "(untitled)" but will not load anything, the tab stays the same (and opening a new tab acts as normal, but again, will load nothing)
Internet explorer comes up with an error about being unable to display web pages. Norton and NOD 32 cannot connect to the internet to update, yet some of my sidebar gadgets can, and so can SUPERAntispyware. Now it gets odder, I CAN make internet explorer work, as I am now, If I select connect to the internet and then "browse the internet now" in the welcome center. And I think WERFault, or whatever brings up the error message when a program dies for no apparent reason, comes up saying programs have unexpectedly stopped working when I close them legitimately. And also, when I try to update norton internet security and it says it is unable to connect to the server I close it, and soon after, the stuff up box comes up again, so I close it, and anywhere from 5-10 minutes later it reappears. None of my antispyware (Mainly spybot SD, windows defender and SUPER) and antivirus (Norton internet security 2007 and NOD32) programs found any problems. Also, Ad-aware 2007 free keeps freezing when doing something about "GUID"'s, but this has been happening for a while. I am using Vista Home Premium 64-Bit. So what is wrong? Please help! PS The reason I have 2 anti virus programs is because I need norton for the firewall, but NOD32 Is a better scanner. I have just discovered why this IE is working: It is 64 bit, both 32 bit IE and firefox are stuffed, but this 64 bit IE7 works. (Shame that I need 32 bit browsers (Mainly for the most recent flash) so help is still needed) No Worry anymore, I don't know what the problem was, but I did a system restore and all is now fine. (except ad-aware, but I will re-download that) I will keep the hjt log I made when it happened, but when I looked at it, nothing seemed wrong.
