My computer is an NEC, I am not sure what the motherboard is, I only know that it is a Pentium II 4gb. hard drive, and 127 bm. ram. It freezes a lot. Why?
And what can I do to stop it, and possibly speed it up a little?

Hi Ulyshia - just a thought, have you opened the case and given it a good clean? Check that the fans are working, free of dust and the air vents are clear. If you need to clean the fans, use a can of compressed air. For the vents, use something like an old toothbrush. Be careful not to touch any components for fear of zapping them with static (get some help with this if a cleanup is needed - grounding is essential when working inside the case). You can buy anti-static bracelets from most computer outlets.
If you dont feel confident opening the case, check the back of the computer without opening the case and see how much air is moving from the back of the case where the fan is located. There should be a fair amount of air moving and it should be warm, not hot.

I just had the system placed into a new case, and bought a new fan, so I doubt that this is the case. It boots up slow, and when I connect to the internet, I really have a wait. Offline it works fine, and once I am on the WWW, all is good.
I uninstalled and re-installed my internet software, but still the same problem. I changed all of my access numbers, still the same problem. What next?

Hello, Ulyshia, What type of internet connnection are you using. If you are using dial up or phone connection, your connection to the internet is going to be slower.

I am using dialup, but that's not the problem, there is a message popping up after my connection, saying that I need to check my Content Advisor under Internet Options, click on Advanced Options, and check info. I did this, but the popup still appears!
