Copying a hard drive to a new PC

Hi Guys

Does anyone know of an application that i can use to copy a hard drive to a completely new PC.
I've got quite a few applications on my old pc that i need to keep the settings for but have bought a new PC and need to "copy all the settings".
I know i could just Ghost the drive but i've been told that it would blue screen if i tried to put it on a totally different PC.
The Files and settings tranfer wizard will not do enough.

Any ideas or workarounds would be great.

Cheers

If you search on Google, or on the app's website, you can find out the what the config file is called (file extension) and where it is located. Just reinstall the app on your new workstation, then copy the config file(s) from your old to your new. Most applications don't really like being moved.
