How to log out of a network in Vista

I am logged onto the network of my college which i used for internet earlier, but now i want to use the internet facilities provided by my uni, which is through VPN..

somehow i cant seem to log out of my college network, so i dont want to start using the VPN network, since i might get double billed...

i tried disconnecting it for sometime, changing proxies, restarting my computer, but it jus doesnt work...is there anything i can do to fix it?as in log out of this network so tht i can use the VPN network
