I am having many issues with windows vista. I have vista home premium upgrade edition. It constantly restarts by itself it also has massive slowdown too. There are times when it will not be able to connect to the internet. When I turn the computer off it tries to install upgrades but always fails to do so. I am at a loss at what could be wrong.
Vista home premium upgrade
athalon 64 3200
asus k8v x mobo
1 gig ram
ati 9700 pro

did you do an upgrade or clean install?

well im thinking it might be youve below minimum requirements for vista. i would say first, well you might actually need to get new components all together. Ive never heard anyone running vista very well on that much ram, and the processor seems a little slow.
Im not trying to put you down or anything, but if its possible i would reccomend upgrading first and see how that turns out. im saying this because a lot of the time when vista runs out of ram it will restart.
Have you run the vista upgrade advisor?

sounds like you may have stuff installed on your computer thats not vista compatible. Did you make sure that everythings vista compatible from software to external devices?
