Am I crazy?

Hello all,
I'm a poor college student who is looking to buy a tablet laptop. And found this refurbished one(hp tx1000z) and am wondering if it is a smart idea to buy a refurbished laptop? Are they as good as buying a brand new one? As in they won't stop working after like 90 days? Has anyone of you has had good experience with buying a refurbished laptop?

Personally I will not touch a refurbished laptop (I prefer at least a one year warranty), however I have known many of individuals who purchased a refurbished computer (laptop and desktop) and never had a problem. Its just like anything else you purchase, you never really know until you get it and start using it.

Refurbished can be anything from a unit that had a legitimate problem to opened box, didn't like and returned. Can't speak on laptops, but I love my refurbished ipod at far less than retail, and my refurbished Garmin gps.
