Can someone help? When I turn my laptop on. All I get is a black screen and a message saying No operating system found. What can I do and where do I get it to fix this problem?

one possibility is a harddrive crash. Go into your bios and see if it recognizes your harddrive.
If it does, did you install anything just prior to the crash? Do you have your os cd? Finally what operating system?

I think it was just a crash. Can you walk me through what I need to do? I am computer savy but not that savy. Also can I just run an initial windows install disk to fix it?
