Everytime I start up my computer (Windows 2000, Pentium 4, CPU, Dell), I get a Stop error message. The entire message is:
"STOP: c0000263 {Driver Entry Point Not Found}
The /SystemRoot/system32/drivers/ikfilesec.sys device driver could not locate the entry point IoGetDeviceAttachmentBaseRef in driver ntoskrnl.exe
If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. IF this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any Windows 2000 updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.
Refer to your Getting Started manual for more information on troubleshooting Stop errors."
I"ve tried going through safe mode (met same stop error) along with basically every other startup method. I"ve also tried reinstalling the OEM disc but I meet the same stop error screen whenever I boot with the Windows CD in the drive (even when I try to boot CD only).
Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
