Is there any way to permanently delete the auto-fill addresses (from typing them in previously) in the address bar? Outlook 2003. Sorry and thanks.

When the auto complete window comes up, use the up/down arrow keys to highlight the address and press Del.
If you're wondering where these suggestions come from, this (http://ask-leo.com/where_do_outlooks_autocomplete_suggestions_come_fr om.html) is a good article.

But they still come back???
And upon further research, one can reset the file where windows stores the nicknames/auto-fill...but with a warning of corrupting this file is a terrible terrible thing? Any other thoughts? Thanks.

They didn't come back when I did it. Even after restarting Outlook.
I've never heard anywhere that says resetting the nickname database will corrupt it. The article I linked (and the MS knowledge base article linked in it) only state that resetting the file is a solution to a corrupt one.
