Question Having trouble with this scanner

I am on a windows S2003 machine with this brand new KonicaMinulta Bizhub 420 all-in-one I am trying to access the scanner from this document management program that I have but the scanner doesn't show up as an available scanner. I believe where the problem lies is the scanner is not installing in the Scanners and Cameras in the control panel. I called the KonicaMinulta and they were no help. They told me that as long as I can scan to it outside of my document managing program it should be fine and to call the vender for the program.

Has anyone ever ran into this and would there be a way to get this to show up in my scanners and cameras?

Try installing the scanner manually.
Check the "document managment program" for "twain" support. If the program doesn't support "twain", you won't see it.

Well I did try installing a new imaging device manually but all it comes up with are digital cameras...

The program that I am using is actually one that the company that I work for programmed and the only recommended scanners do have to be TWAIN compliant.

If you're using the add hardware wizard, after the system scans, you need to select other hardware and then have disk. you will then need to direct the system to the folder that contains the scanner drivers.

the other way to do it, is, completly uninstall the printer/drivers, and any software, and reinstall from scratch.
