View Full Version : PHOTOSHOP 7.0 only black and white?

hello,
im trying to make a banner for my mate on a website. it is only letting me use black and white on the banner tho ?
im using adobe photoshop 7.0 on windows.. and im kinda a "noob" on it. i only got it yesterday..
so can any one help me out here?

Check under Image in the menu bar that it is set for RGB color not Index. Index allows only black and white.

yay thanks!
oh and it says "k" next to the colour thing to make it lighter and darker... how do i make it lighter and darker because it only makes it black and white lighter and darker?

What colour thing?
And what are graphic or photo or ? are you using for the banner?

its a jpg picture of my mate... on one side the other side is empty at the moement..
the colour thing on the right where like for the paint brush thing..

Actually, the photo of your friend is a layer, you need to click on the layer menu heading and merge down, then you can do whatever you want in the blank space.
And there is help in PhotoShop, it's listed under the Help menu.
And explains each tool and what it does.
