i had loaded a computer game on my computer years ago. at some point i deleted it. i don't remember how i deleted it, but it seems it was not totally deleted. i am now trying to load the game back on and it is not letting me. it tells me the program already exists and i need to either modify, repair or remove it. none of those worked. when i put the game in and click install it again asks me to either remove, repair or modify. my thought is, if i can completely remove the game then i will be able to reload it. the game is medal of honor, allied assualt and my operating system is windows xp.

i don't know what to do.

(some advice i got)
Go to Control Panel/Add Remove Program and find the game and click uninstall.

If it's not listed there try doing this:

Go to Computer/Program Files/ from there there fine the game folder and try deleting it.

Hope I helped .

(my response)
i did both of those already and no luck. when i go to add/remove programs the game is listed there, although it doesn't seem the whole game is there. i have tried deleting it from there but it just goes to the delete screen and when it finishes the game title is still right there.

i tried loading the games expansion pack on but the message comes up that the main game isn't loaded. but yet when i run the game cd to install it saids that it is already on the computer but it will not let me play it..

what else can i do?

Try installing CrapCleaner(it's free, google it), and under the tools section try the uninstaller. It works really well on stubborn programs. You can also just delete the title if the actual game has been deleted but left behind it's entry.
