AOE3 Installed but says Not Installed

Hi,

My friend has Aoe 3 installed and he can play alright (it's not a cracked one). Strangely, it doesn't show up in Control Panel/Add Remove programs.

Now he has got himself Asian Dynasties and it doesn't install saying "Age of Empires 3 not installed".

He has re-installed from the Aoe 3 CD (all default install options) as he could not uninstall from Control Panel. But it doesn't help - he can play Aoe3 perfectly yet can't install AD - no entry in Control Panel.

Does anyone know how to get the right registry entries for the Control Panel or for all the entries for Aoe3?
