Hi,
I have posted this on a couple of forums in the past days with no help, and for some reason when i try to log in to apple discussion forums it says my id has been disabled.
So pleeasse help
I have the fifth gen, 30gb video iPod.
Recentely i plugged my ipod into the computer and got the following message
"The iPod cannot be updated. The file or directory is corrupted" Now, i noticed a one track won't play, another one finishes early, and i havent yet checked the videos..
So i ignored this, and luckily can still put songs on it (I manually manage the songs btw)
I plugged it in again the other day and the "Setting up your iPod" wizard came up which i found really bizarre.
I really dont wanna have to restore it (and this doesnt fix it in a lot of cases)
Any advice?
THANKS

Hello Kate

"If you attempt to sign in to the Apple Store numerous times with the wrong password, you will see this error “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons.” To reset your account, follow the instructions on our iForgot (https://iforgot.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/DSiForgot.woa/wa) website."

If that doesn't work I would try contacting Apple directly:

Apple Sales Support at 1-800-676-2775

Call either of these numbers, preferably the UK one. Their support is excellent.
