Idea for Ubuntu

I have an idea that somebody a little better than I am at Linux Hacking could make me a patch so that when you mount a drive, and the icon shows up on the desktop for that drive, you would drag the drive icon to the Trash and drop it, and it would unmount. Ubuntu already has this. When you insert a cd, dvd, or usb media, an icon appears on the desktop. You right-click the icon, and select "safely remove" to unmount.
