hello everyone,
i have a bit of an ambiguous query.
a while ago i came across a piece of software that enabled you to locate an ISP and computer location using 'google maps' i think!) The software was an add on and was a Japanese name (again I think) but I'm damned if I can rmember if it was for IE or firefox or what the devil it was called.
I would be extremley grateful for any pointers in the right direction and can only apologise for the vague information I can give.
yours in apreciation
Pappyduff.

hi cheekmaster thanks for the reply.
yea this looks something like the software I am looking for but, I am sure the software i ysed in the past located via ISP and/ or email, so that if you got a malicious, spam or phish you could find the actual street address of the computer the email etc.. was sent from. anyhoo thanks for the info sent it will be a big help and I will continue racking my brains and may even be forced to use alcohol as a lubricant.

If you do an ARIN lookup it teels you who the owner of the IP is and also usually includes an email address to send abuse complaints to.

Also, if ARIN doesn't own the block they will point you to the organization that does, like APNIC.
