Have msn 6, msn Hotmail, Windows me, and plenty of memory. Use Norton Anti virus 200g, Zone Alarm and Ad Ware SE for security, if that has any bearing. I can send and receive pic. attachments, pics. in the text, etc. just fine. Whenever I receive text with pics. from any source and try to forward it the receiver gets the text but the proverbial red x where the pic. should be. This only happens when I try to forward. Clicking on the pic. before I forward to save it to a file and then attach it doesn't work. Clicking on it, right or left, does nothing. I've even tried to copy and paste but still get the dang red x when preparing a new e-mail to send. I'm stumped!!! Any suggestions?

Try this:

Select Tools | Options from the menu.
Go to the Send tab.
Click the HTML Settings button under Mail Sending Format.
Make sure Send pictures with messages is checked.
Click OK.
Click OK again.

I assume you're talking about my Outlook Express? I've already done that.

Is it one particular person that you are emailing, or does everyone receive the red x's?

Everyone, including when I forward it to myself or my wife (seperate e-mail accounts/same pc).

Hmmm. You got me on that one. Browsing to %temp% and deleting everything in that folder will fix the problem if you are the one receiving the x's. You can try that as a shot in the dark.
