Hello,

Ok guys he we go again iI have just installed vista everthing works fine .... except my graphics driver... in device manager i get an error saying...

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.

My card is a NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT

I have unistalled it and reinstalled it, updated the driver it installed and told me to restart i do and it stil don't work..., check for solutions found nothing, used the cd that came with the card ... nothing has worked... before i had vista my graphics card worked fine but is not the case now. My computer was formatted today...so i have no viruses or spyware...that i know of.

Thanks in advance for any help you may have for me.

If you went to the card manufacturers website, try going here
instead to get the vista driver.

Yes as leroys1000 has suggested, nVidia have a driver that might do the trick. Try this (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x86_169.04.html) driver Rainmaker4.

I wouldnt have thought so. Have you tried reseating your graphics card? If so, I'm sorry but there is not much that I can add that will help.

Make sure you have installed your motherboard drivers
so your PCI express or AGP hardware is properly activated.

Was this the original driver you tried? You have to uninstall previous driver first.
